The downside to Eliot Spitzer running for Governor is that the Democratic party is left with two childish sycophants dueling for the nomination to replace him as Attorney General. Both Andrew Cuomo and Mark Green have rubbed me the wrong way over the years, arrogantly praising and decrying the system as it suits them.

With Bill Weld out of the running for the GOP gubernatorial nomination, it looks like we’ve got a Spitzer Vs. Faso race from now until November. Yes, Tom Suozzi is still nipping at Eliot Spitzer’s heels, but not much seems to be coming of it.
