Last Night’s Debate: Souzzi Vs. Spitzer
Last night’s debate between New York Democratic gubernatorial candidates Eliot Spitzer and Tom Suozzi was a pretty impressive display on the part of both candidates. And that’s not a statement made lightly. I’m firmly in the Spitzer camp at this point, and haven’t understood Suozzi’s decision to continue his campaign since the state convention, but […]
Is This All There Is?
The downside to Eliot Spitzer running for Governor is that the Democratic party is left with two childish sycophants dueling for the nomination to replace him as Attorney General. Both Andrew Cuomo and Mark Green have rubbed me the wrong way over the years, arrogantly praising and decrying the system as it suits them.
Tasini Vs. Clinton
I plan on seriously paying attention to Jonathan Tasini and suggest that anyone else who has a problem with Hillary Clinton’s support for the Iraq War do the same. Right now, he’s obviously a dark horse, and I admittedly know little about him, but I’d like that to change. I’m not saying I will definitely […]
Weld Officially Out
With Bill Weld out of the running for the GOP gubernatorial nomination, it looks like we’ve got a Spitzer Vs. Faso race from now until November. Yes, Tom Suozzi is still nipping at Eliot Spitzer’s heels, but not much seems to be coming of it.

Working Families Party Convention
The Politicker has a brief summary of expectations from the Working Families Party convention to be held this weekend. The most interesting question is whether they might back someone other than Hillary Clinton for the Senate race in an attempt to force her into explaining her support of the Iraq War.
GOP: Faso Vs. Weld
From The Empire Zone:
John Faso just defied the expectations of many Republicans and passed the threshold of 50 percent of the vote by delegates at the party convention. That means that he will be the party’s designee on the Sept. 12 primary ballot.
Bill Weld, who is also seeking the Republican nomination, won enough votes to […]
GOP Gubernatorial Candidates Neck And Neck
While it’s pretty much a given that Eliot Spitzer is the Democratic nominee for governor, the Republican nominee is much harder to call. According to The Empire Zone, both Bill Weld and John Faso are claiming to have 40% of delegate support at the convention, and the delegation from Nassau will be splitting its support […]
