The Postman Always Rings Twice

Directed by Tay Garnett

A pretty decent noir tale with an extremely cynical view of love and hate and how fickle people can be in relationships. Lana Turner and John Garfield seem capable of flipping the way they feel about each other like a coin. Maybe, in the end, the screenplay offers a few too many twists for its own good, but it’s still a well-crafted film.
