The Thin Man Goes Home

Directed by Richard Thorpe

This is the first Thin Man picture that neither W.S. Van Dyke nor Dashiell Hammett had any part in creating, and this fifth installment in the series suffers for it, but, even after eleven years, William Powell and Myrna Loy still have chemistry as Nick and Nora Charles. And their chemistry goes a long way toward saving the film. After all, a weak film in a strong series can still be a good film, and that’s what this is.

I love nick & nora! whatever started you on a thin man kick?

The first movie is one of my favorites. And I saw Shadow Of The Thin Man sometime last year and liked it, so I got the Thin Man boxed set for Christmas and just now got around to actually watching it.
