Let’s West Wing

I totally fucking cannot wait for Aaron Sorkin’s new show, Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip. It’s got Bradly damned Whitford and two other familiar faces from The West Wing: Timothy Busfield and Matthew Perry. I’m even willing to give Amanda Peet and D.L. Hughley — neither of which I’m normally a great fan of — a chance.

I recently read the first eighteen issue collection of Brian K. Vaughan’s Runaways, in which one of the characters says “Let’s ‘West Wing,’” meaning “Let’s walk fast and talk fast.” That was easily one of the most satisfying pop culture geek moments I’ve ever had.

If you’re shaking your head right now, go to hell.

I think I have a crush on Bryan K. Vaughan. That reference is awesome.
