Take The City And Run

I live in El Barrio which is on the upper Upper East Side of Manhattan. Every morning I get onto an overcrowded train… which is to be expected sometimes. However, sometimes I get on the same train at off hours, late at night when the train should not be busy and it’s still overcrowded. The 6 train is the only local line on the East Side and it’s absolutely ridiculous. There is talk of raising subway fares to $2.00. In my opinion, $1.50 is already too expensive for overcrowded trains. If you live in the city and use the subway system, please go to straphangers.org and protest the fare hike.
